Increase Your Email Open and Click through Rates

By Paul Wilson
In module 6, Alex Jeffreys explained to us his Triple Threat Affiliate System.
It is all about a way to increase your email open and click trough rates using Aweber.  I am pretty sure that the other autoresponder providers don’t include these tools, but I am sure someone will prove me wrong…
Aweber enables you to track subscribers that open emails and click through to the links within the emails.  A sub list can then be created of the people that didn’t open, and / or didn’t click the links with the emails which is pretty cool.
You can then re-send the original email under a different subject line to these people, without effectively spamming the people that have already opened it…
This is just SO powerful it’s unreal!
You can then drill down many levels, and send 4 or 5 emails to the people that constantly don’t open them.
Each time you send out a broadcast, you will typically get 20% open rate, so the more you drill down, the higher the overall percentage of people will open them.
This can effectively DOUBLE your open and click throughs from that of a single email!
I have created this video to show you exactly how to do this.

Let me know if this helps you, and if there are any other parts of Aweber you would like me to explain, just ask!!

In module 6, Alex Jeffreys explained his “Triple Threat Affiliate System” in great detail, which I wanted to share with you here :-)

This is a VERY powerful way to increase your email open and click through rates using Aweber, and I am pretty sure that the other autoresponder providers don’t include these tools.

I don’t want to rant on for ages, as I have created a video explaining the whole process…

This is just SO powerful it’s unreal!

If there are any other parts of Aweber you would like me to explain in more detail, just ask!!

Leave me a comment with your thoughts!

Take care,

Paul

  9. Hi Paul.

First time on the website here and I like the design. I enjoyed your video as well. I am guessing from the opening credits you might using a Mac laptop of desktop? I spent 15-20 minutes with one of my coaching students gushing about why he should definitely get one (he was thinking of doing it).

Anyway, good to see another Alex Jeffrey’s student going for it big time (disclaimer: I myself am not an AJ student, but there seems to be a big community of you bloggers around these days).

    Hey Paul,

Cracking video mate, you just saved me the time and job of going through Aweber and finding out how to do that. It was on my list of things to do.

I thought it was going to be complicated, but it looks easy enough. I’ll have to have a go at it.

    Cheers!

    Hey Paul
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I just watched your aweber video. Learned something new and a very good tip.
I know there are a lot of things I haven’t spent the time to learn that you can do with aweber. I have just been doing the basics.
You’ve shown me I need to spend the time learning more stuff.

I have a question: I sent a broadcast message to my entire set of lists. I have 8 different lists going I believe. Anyway can I use the same technique to segragate the people who didn’t open the message from the entire group, or do I have to do it list by list?

Of course I should go a figure this out for myself shouldn’t I.

    Anyway great site and post

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Norm,

      Thanks for your comment!

You can segregate by the message sent not by the list if that makes sense.

For example, if you send a message to all 8 lists in one hit, you can segregate the people out of that message sent, whereas, if you send a message to each individual list separately you will have to split the lists separately!

In short, if you sent the same message to all your lists in one go, you would only have to split it out the once :-)

I got there in the end…!

      Talk soon,

      Paul

      • Norm says:

        Paul
Thanks for the quick reply. I checked on a broadcast message that I sent to all my lists.
Interesting thing is: The particular broadcast message only shows in the list that was basically the parent list entered when I wrote the broadcast.

Aweber says it indeed went to all the lists that I included but when I try to see the people who did not open it, all I will see is those people in that “parent” list. Parent only meaning that was the list I had in my header when I wrote the message.

They said I can make a segment of that list and when I re-send to that list it will also go to the people in the other lists that did not open it the first time as long as I again include all the lists.

Seems kind of weird to me but I asked the question in a couple different ways and got the same answer.

They said they were working on fixing that little glitch so you would be able to see and entire list of people who didn’t open the message regardless of what list it originated from.

Don’t know if that makes any sense but there it is.

Thanks again for the quick reply

Yes that makes sense…like you say a bit of a long winded way of going about it!

    Hey Paul,

    Great video man!

I was just wondering what some techniques would be to increase my click through rates, and you just hit it on the head.

This will become extremely powerful when promoting a product or anything else. Of course we’d need to keep an eye on the unsubscribe amount, but if anything, I’ll be using this triple threat approach.

    Thanks a lot!

Thanks for this great, informative video. I’ve got to tell you, I learnt a half dozen different things from this – so thanks again.

I’m guilty of not spending the time to study Aweber, to really suss out it’s functionality. But then again, I’ve just been concentrating on growing my list up to now.

So I’ve discovered this at just about the right time.

I was actually thinking of creating an Aweber video series, from basic Aweber setup right through to the more advanced stuff…what do you think?

I know people that people are more likely to take a look at something like that than actually go to Aweber and learn direct. I would also use it as a FREE product for building my list.

Do you think this is something that would be useful?

    Hi Paul,

Great video, no fluff, exactly what I was looking for.

I’m not very experienced with aweber, but I knew the program had the potential to do this, I just didn’t have a clue how to action it.

I’ve heard about the tripple threat concept before and I’m looking forward to putting it into practice.

Good to hear from a fellow Britt too.

      Hi Dave,

Thanks, I’m glad it was helpful :-)

One thing you want to watch, is that you can only do this from the list the email was sent from.

To explain, if you have multiple lists, and send to them all in one go, you can only drill down in the master list. Subscribers in other lists will not be extracted by the search…

So if you want to send to multiple lists and drill down, you will have to send a separate email to each list :-(

      Hope that makes sense…? :-)

      Talk soon,

      Paul
