All in all, I think the book was a good generalized cover of IM. It also was a good motivator to just DO something. I think what I’m looking for is an exact, step-by-step method that will show me how to market our website in order to get just 1 to 2 new subscribers per day. I would even be happy with only 3 to 4 per week.

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Brandon

      Thanks for your feedback!

Do you have a squeeze page currently set up and it’s just traffic your looking for? Or is it a case of setting all this up from scratch?

Let me know, it could be a case that I create some videos if you think this would be useful?

I didn’t go into each subject too deeply for this reason. I am looking for feedback so I can create maybe a series of videos that people would find useful to complement the book :-)

Let me know if I can help!

      Talk soon,

      Paul

      • Brandon says:

Currently, we have two methods we are working on. The first: drive traffic to a sales letter (http://howtographicdesign4biz.com) The second: drive traffic to a squeeze page (has not been completed). We have done just a few blogs and some article writing, digg submission, etc. But we have not seen any real good results so far. Our product is an e-book that we are selling.

      • Charmaine says:

I want to thank you for your book. It’s different, refreshing and informative. I have no idea how to do a squeeze page. I know I’m on one know, but where do I start? By the way I blog too! I’ve written a couple of articles, I share my blog with FB, twitter and google reader with no success. I am also selling e-books. I’m eager for some real direction!

        • Paul Wilson says:

          Hey Charmaine,

Many thanks for your comments, I appreciate your feedback!

That’s great news that you have your blog up and running :-) I’m just about to send you an email which may help you with the other bits & pieces, so keep your eye out for that in a while…

          Take care,

          Paul

  2. Piligrims says:

  4. Hey Paul

It’s amazing how much good content you can provide, when you cut out the fluff.I enjoyed reading your 7 step formula and I really like the that it wasn’t full of fluff or bullsh*t like some 50 page ebooks I’ve read.

Using mind maps is a great idea for planning and laying out your business model.

I have to commend you on a great job, you’ve provided some great content that will benefit everyone who reads it.

    Thanks Brian

  5. Rob Barnett says:

Seems pretty basic stuff Paul ! What about the social media scene? Have you looked into twitter and what that can do to promote a business ?

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Rob,

I created this book to give an overview of the steps needed to create a successful business online.

I am using Social Media, but thought this was a complete subject on its own, and chose not to get into too much detail within this book.

Maybe this is something for my next book ? :-)

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  6. Mohamed Ridha bouguerra says:

Seriously, it’s wonderful to put a face to all the great customer support and over the top care you have offered me this year and congrats on the new eBook, I think it’s going to be a big hit.

      Hey Dee,

      Thanks for your comments :-)

I think you are getting me confused with another Paul Wilson. I presume you have been dealing with someone else through another site?

Just thought I’d let you know, BUT I appreciate you stopping by! It must be the name, we are all helpful people you know ;-)

  9. Zakia ( zah-key-yah ) says:

    Dear Paul,
Your candour is very inspiring and commendable. My “crystal ball” tells me :” Zakia, you are witnessing the birth of an IM star worthy of this name”; and I am pleased to be part of your upcoming online success.I am new to this too. I have been educating myself for the last 10 months doing things here and there, however after reading your email, which I almost deleted ( as you are a “viralhost member” and I tend to view the latter group as a little “spammy” on the edges), I was glad I gave you the benefit of the doubt……And refrained from “taking action” against you. I have to confess that I liked your ebook (simple, clear, yet concise and almost comprehensive) and the honest “message” it conveys if one is truly serious about succeeding in this online endeavour. I even took some notes and decided to “organize” myself and “take action”right on your footsteps.
Thank you for inspiring and motivating me. It honestly feels great to learn that it is “feasible”.
Looking forward to working with you and encouraging each other.
With best wishes to you and your little family.
    Regards,
    Zakia.

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Zakia,

Many thanks for your kind message :-)

I really am glad you have got something out of my book, and hopefully it has given you some ideas for your own business!

Head back here often, as I am recording my journey on this blog. My plan is to help as many people as I can along my way :-)

      Take care,

      Paul

      • Zakia ( zah-key-yah ) says:

        Hey Paul !
Believe it or not, I did follow your advice about starting a blog. In fact I did that right after I sent you my comments on your ebook. I plan on adding valuable content to it several times a week. It is a “review course ” for the boards in diagnostic testing in cardiology. I have already an introduction of some sort, that “sounds” like a sales letter….You said just go ahead and start. We will see . Here is my URL: http://www.echochicago.blogspot.com
Feel free to check it out.
        Talk soon.
        Zakia.

        • Paul Wilson says:

          Hey Zakia,

Just checked out your URL, and was just checking this was the right one? This one looks as though it’s been online for a while?

Just wanted to check that I was in the right place? :-)

          Talk soon,

          Paul

  10. Paul

I just read your book and thought it was a good building block book for the one thinking about internet marketing and what is involved with the process. You have your first book under your belt and congrats on that. The first one is the toughest one and the rest get easier.

I watched your videos and the only comment I have is with the videos you did at home were extremely low in volume. If you could get the mic closer to you, your videos would be enhanced greatly.

I just put a new post on my blog today so please go by and check it out then let me know how you feel about my words.

    Roger

Go out and make it a successful day! :-)

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Roger,

Many thanks for downloading my ebook, your feedback means a lot :-)

I know what you mean about the videos, hopefully the later ones are better, as many are recorded on my iPhone and the sound tends to be a bit quiet.

Heading over to your blog now to take a look at what you’ve been up to :-D

      Take care,

      Paul

  11. Hi Paul,
Yes just finishe you ebook and found it great, goals so true.
yes I have been doing what you use top do read email surf and again. My biggest problem i am having is being so new not just to online work but internet fullstop, understanding all that terminology its so new to me. but thanks for you ebookd it will help me heaps.
    Blessings Angie

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Angie,

I hope this managed to help you get your head around things a bit more :-)

It will come, but to start with can be a bit of a minefield!

Give me a shout if I can help you with anything :-)

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  12. Michael Allen says:

    Hey Paul,

Good Job!!! I enjoyed it. The quote you put in is so right. I just started IM about 6 monthes ago so I know the most valuable mindset is just “to get something done” Good luck in the future and I hope to run into you again. This niche is actually smaller than alot of people think.

    Take Care,
    Michael

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Michael,

Many thanks for your feedback :-)

I think you’re right about this niche, I seem to be crossing paths with a lot of people time & time again!

I look forward to catching up with you again soon!

      Take care,

      Paul

  13. Hi Paul !
Sorry, I gave you an erroneous URL. Inadvertantly, I somehow omitted the “2009″ part. The actual URL is http://www.echochicago2009.blogspot.com
Please check it out and thank you in advance for your time.
    Regards,
    Zakia

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Zakia,

Great work! It’s good to see you have things up and running already :-)

You just need to start adding some more content, and start to drive traffic!

You now need to look at what you hope to achieve with it over the coming weeks, and the content you are going to add to it etc, then plan your steps from there :-)

If I can help at all, give me a shout!

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  14. I read you e-book and found it interesting and thanfully not too long.I get very frustrated by writers that tell their life story and
brag about how much money they made doing whatever it was that they did then forgetting to put any substance in the message.
I have been trying to get started for 6 months and have not gotten anywhere yet but that point about a plan is interesting as I seem to get bogged down in my e-mail so I never get to read anything I download that might help me.I am desperate to get something going as
I am going to need some funds soon.

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Charles,

Many thanks for your comments :-)

If you follow the steps in my ebook and follow my journey on this blog so far, you will get a good idea what I have been doing, and what you should be doing to get yourself going online.

Feel free to give me a shout if I can help you at all :-)

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  15. Somesh says:

Hi Paul! I liked your book! I think the point about mind mapping is a great tip and I am starting to use it! Important point about really making sure your thoughts and plan are comprehensibly laid out in terms that show consistent and tangible progress. Having a consistent plan of action is certainly one of the best ideas if you want to make money online.
    Thanks again!
I will be recommending it on my blog: http://recessionwhackersblog.blogspot.com

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Somesh,

      Many thanks for your comments!

I just found your comment in my spam folder so apologise for the delay in replying.

I am glad you got something out of it, and you found it useful :-)

      Take care,

      Paul

      • Somesh says:

        Hi Paul,
I’m back again. I’m going to recommend your book to my list now. It’s simple, and it’s not too long, so nobody will feel ‘intimidated’ by the length.:-) Like I said before, the USP is the mind-mapping trick you shared. I have been using it with success. I’m working on a new website on web hosting using this technique – http://bestwebhostingforall.com

        • Paul Wilson says:

          Hi Somesh

That’s awesome, I hope your list enjoys the book :-) If you like I could set you up a personalised page for it?

Again, sorry for the delay, for some reason your comments keep ending up in my spam folder…

          Many thanks,

          Paul

  16. Jan Loubser says:

Hi Paul, thanks for the ebook. Congrats with its quality and simplicity.
It checks with my experience and reinforces the conclusions I have come to.
And it arrived at a moment when I am rady to take Action!

All the best wishes in business and life.

    together We Prosper More! Jan

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Jan

Thanks for stopping by to let me know your thoughts, I really appreciate it ;-)

Yes, just take action and things will gradually start to fall into place. This is more than most people do!

Give me a shout if I can do anything to help you ;-)

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  17. Really enjoyed the eBook Paul, keep doing what your doing!

    Michael Appleton

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey again Michael!

That’s cool, I’m really glad you enjoyed it and I hope you got something out of it to help you with your business :-)

      Take care,

      Paul

  18. I should say that was a good 1st eBook- You’re Done , Man!

  19. Doug says:

You ebook was encouraging to read…thanks for making it simple! I’m a half step behind you in getting my blog going and following the steps you lay out here. I look forward to following your journey. I love your clear reminder that doing something is better than trying to perfect what ends up being nothing…this was key for me to hear again.

    Cheers to your success!

    Doug

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Doug,

As my mentor Alex Jeffreys says “Don’t get it right, just get it going!”

I think this really is the key in this business. You can always head back and tweak things at a later date, but if you wait for things to be perfect first, the likeliness is things won’t happen at all…

Give me a shout if I can help you at all :-)

Take care, and thanks for stopping by!

      Paul

  20. Ed says:

Thank you for the ebook. It is one of the best that I have read. The best part was that it seemed like it was down to earth, like we were just talking to each other. Most of them seem to be from people that think they are better than everyone else and just wants you to buy something.
    Thanks again
    Ed

  21. Hi Paul!

I was able to read your e-book online but I was unable to print it out. It’s very good and I’d like to keep a hard copy in my files.

Would you happen to know why I was unable to print it? I have two PDF programs – Nitro and Firefox.

Thanks for your great work and I look forward to hearing from you.

    All the best,
    Maureen Harrop

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Maureen,

      Many thanks for your comments!

I converted the file on my mac, and I have just checked again and there are no restrictions on it. Have you tried Adobe reader?

Maybe it is something to do with the way my mac converts the file, are you using windows? I can’t see any reason why it won’t print for you at the moment, but I will look into it further and let you know :-)

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  22. Olga says:

    Dear Mr. Wilson,

It was so generous of you to send me your eBook, which is very good for a person who is having a productive WebSite or Blog. But for
a person, like myself, who is in a confused if not desperate state is not concise enough of what exactly to do to get out of the chaotic state and get going.

Thank you for your kind gesture – it was thoughtful of you.

Have a nice day, God Bless,

    Olga

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Olga,

      Thanks for your comments :-)

I have actually been thinking about a video series also to complement my ebook. Do you think this is something that would be useful to you?

The book is not meant to be too in depth as I wanted to keep it fairly short, but wanted to give an overview of the steps I have taken so far in my business, and the steps you can also take to do the same.

Have a look back through my blog posts also, and you will be able to follow my story so far :-)

      Take care,

      Paul

  23. leonie says:

Loved your e-book, i am just starting out and was nice to read some practical advice without a lot of fluff

    Thanks

    Leonie

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Leonie,

I’m glad you enjoyed it :-)

Feel free to give me a shout if I can help you at all…!

      Take care,

      Paul

  24. Mike C says:

    Hey there Paul Wilson,

I know I subscribed to your contact list sometime in the recent past.

Honestly I don’t remember how I found your site, but chances are good I was searching for something about blogs or blogging.

I don’t make it a habit of subscribing to “Newsletters”, and I certainly don’t use a personal email address when I do. But I did for your subscription. The primary reason I don’t with most is that most promise advice on Internet Marketing but then just hammer their subscriber’s in-boxes with “Deals Ya Just Can’t Live Without”.

While I understand that at least part of the point of building a list is to have a “Captive” audience to solicit but most publishers forget about the “Relationship” marketing part of building and publishing to a list.

I go with a gut feeling based on how the publisher presents who they are and what they are about as to whether or not a publisher is just another “Carny Barker” hawking their wares, or someone actually interested in developing a relationship with their readers.

I have to say; in the short time I have been receiving your emails, I am extremely impress with your approach, writing style and apparently honest desire to build an ongoing “Conversation” with your readers. You content is informative and well written and no BS. A refreshing change from most.

I just read your “7 Step Success Formula”. Kudos my friend. Honest, straight forward and makes good ole fashion common sense.

Thanks for that. You’ve earned my respect and continued readership.

All my best to you an yours.

Here’s hoping you are having a productive and prosperous 2009.

    Mike C.

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Mike,

Thanks !! I am REALLY glad you like what you have read so far…I must be doing something right :-)

I really appreciate your kind words, it is great to get some honest feedback. You are right that my aim is to help, and build relationships with people, and I am glad it comes across that way !!

I will do my best to keep giving value to my subscribers, and if I can ever help you in any way just shoot me over an email and I’ll do my best to help :-)

      Thanks and talk soon!

      Paul

  25. Kasey Thomas says:

I am not able to download your ebook…for some reason my internet provider won’t let me…thanks for the offer tho

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Kasey,

I’m sorry you had problems downloading my ebook, I have send you an email with a copy attached :-)

Feel free to give me a shout if you have any more problems!

      Take care,

      Paul

  26. Mike C says:

An addendum to my previous comment above:

I am WAY impressed with the way you have your comments set up to show your response inline to each comment.

Is there a plugin you to add that functionality, code it your self have it done custom by somebody?

Curious minds want to know ;-)

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hi again Mike!

I believe this is part of wordpress :-)

If you head to settings/discussion in the admin section, there is an option “Enable threaded (nested) comments”. Make sure this is checked and you’re good to go!!

Let me know how it goes!

      Talk soon,

      Paul

      • Mike C says:

I did as you directed and WAH LAH there are my nested comments. However they are pretty bland looking.

So just as a short follow up to your reply on nested comments; doing some research I found a site that goes into detail as to how you can go from the bland “Nested Comments” default formatting to a VERY cool looking nested comment display.

        http://cdharrison.com/2008/12/threaded-comments/

Granted it takes some knowledge of CSS but his tutorial is pretty straight forward.

I’m working on upgrading mine now.

I hope this can be of some help to your readers.

        Mike

        • Paul Wilson says:

          Hey Mike,

Cool, glad you got it working ;-)

I just has a quick look at that site…looks interesting!

I may implement that myself when I get a bit more time, thanks for the link :-)

          Talk soon,

          Paul

  27. Irene says:

Hi Paul, Thanks for the e-book. My daily routine sounds just like yours use to be. I’m in the process of putting out a new teddy bear site with the help of some coaching. I think coaching is vital, it’s so hard to do this alone. I don’t even bother to check Clickbank anymore, I’m getting lots of visitors to my affiliate ads but absolutely nothing in my clickbank account. It’s so frustrating!

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Irene,

Are you building a list right now?

If not, get started asap! Remember, it is very rare that people will buy on their first visit to a site. If you build a list, you can build relationships with people and recommend your products to them over time :-)

I hope this helps, give me a shout if I can help you at all !

      Take care,

      Paul

  28. Tommy says:

    Hi Paul

Great ebook mate. A really good read for any newbie wanting to start something online. Its great you also mentioned mindmeiser, its a cool free program which is very seldom heard of or used by the gurus. I don’t have a blog at the moment but Im following you on twitter. Keep me updated of your new releases through mail or twitter.
    All the best mate.

    tommy.

Many thanks for your comments, much appreciated :-)

I’ll be sure to keep you updated with my developments, give me a shout if I can help you at all !

      Hey John,

Just start to follow the steps in my book, get yourself a plan together, and you’ll be on your way :-)

If you don’t have a list right now, I would recommend you start building one! Remember, this is where you can build relationships with your subscribers, and where the money is longer term.

      Hey John,

Many thanks for your comments, I am glad you enjoyed it :-)

I think we ALL suffer from information overload to an extent, BUT the way forward is to create a plan and stick to it. It is very easy to get caught up in all the hype that is out there, but just concentrate on the things that are going to move your business forward.

Go back through my blog and see the journey I have taken so far. Start off by getting a blog up and running, and start building your list asap if you’re not already!!

Give me a shout if I can help you at all ;-)

      Speak soon,

      Paul

  32. Aly says:

Hi, thanks for the ebook, it has good content, not too long and thanks for the links. Mind mapping software is excellent for dumping your tasks and ideas’s on. I’m concentrating more on my blogs than my websites at present so the ebook was useful to me as I am concentrating on a number of things it contains.
    thanks Aly

p.s. I would change the links so they open in new pages as it is distracting having to keep coming back to the ebook and losing your place.

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Thanks Aly!

I am glad you found the content useful, and it has helped you with your business :-)

The links in the ebook should be opening in a new window. It may be something to do with when it was converted to pdf. Thanks for the heads up…I’ll try to get this sorted for future downloads ;-)

      Take care,

      Paul

  33. Jorge says:

    Hi Paul
I’ve just read your book. Your story is pretty much my story. I also run a offline business, that takes to much time from me and that barely allows me to survive. I’m in love with Internet Marketing but I really don’t have a plan. For several times I jumped out of all subscribing lists to avoid information overload and tried to stick with a technique. You see, a technique, not a plan. Sooner or later I find myself in another 100+ mail lists and all I did was spending some money. Man, sometimes I doubt that I can ever make a dollar online!
Anyway, your story may help me to clear my head and think about what I’m doing. I’ll keep in touch. I may write my own blog to tell the world how I’m doing… :)
PS: is it possible you send me a personal message? There is something I would like to ask you…
    Jorge

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Jorge,

Get EVERYTHING down on paper, clear your head and create a PLAN!! This amazingly will make you feel like you have a destination instead of just following the next best thing you come across online.

I would start a blog, and start to build a list asap :-)

I have an email from you, so I will reply to that also!!

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  34. Paul, First I would like to say thank you for creating a simple, short and informational E-Book, I enjoyed it very much and will follow your blog to.

    Thank you Scott Crawley

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Scott,

Many thanks for stopping by :-)

I will be updating my blog again soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  35. Bridget says:

    Hi Paul

Thank you for the ebook and the one on list building. I am just starting this IM business and am absolutely lost and wondering where to begin. Easy to say ‘at the begining’, but when you are completely new to it, ‘where is the begining’?, so thank you again,
    Much success,

    Bridgt

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Bridget,

No problem, and I hope you enjoy them and manage to get something from them :-)

Give me a shout if I can shed any more light on things for you!

      Take care,

      Paul

  36. Richard says:

    Hi Paul

Congratulations on getting Alex as your mentor, I was one of his first students about a year ago.

I just got your ebook and found it to be short and directly to the point. If you would like some further free training hop over to my blog where you can get my ebook on PowerPoint and you should also check out my post on David Walker’s webinar.

This was the first webinar in a series of 6 that David is doing on internet marketing all free and the next one is Tuesday 1st December.

    Richard

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Richard,

Thanks for stopping by :-) Yeah Alex is just awesome, I have learned sooo much from him over the last few months as I am sure you know!

I will head over to your blog now and take a look. I know all about David’s webinars…he has included some awesome content so far, and I will be following them through in the coming weeks ;-)

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  37. Hey Paul,

Great ebook. It’s refreshing to read something honest and to the point. I think we’ve all been there – still am and you’re so right that we all need a plan and focus on that plan. There is no magic bullet and doing the little things in a consistant way is the key. Now I just need to do it. As an old boss of mine used to say “Just Do It”
    Thanks paul

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Luca,

      Thanks for your feedback!

Like you say, there is no magic bullet! I think we were all lead to believe at some point that this business was easy, and you could get rich more or less at the click of a button!

All I know now is, that if you work HARD, and follow a proven system, you WILL succeed :-)

As my mentor Alex Jeffreys says “It’s simple BUT not easy”

Get a plan, follow a system that works, and you’re well on your way to success :-)

      Take care,

      Paul

  38. Mr. Paul – Right time I got your 7 steps ebook. Honestly this book cleared the vague ideas of me and set me in the right direction. I am a senior citizen and freelance writer wishing to embark upscale in my earnings online. I am planning to set up a new site with info products (which I can create with my experience in writing). I have a free blogger site which I am not sure can be converted into a business site fixing the necessary plug-ins and buying a domain name (can you please enlighten me?).I am sure to follow your tip of single focus on my target. I am already posting topics on some sites. I will join more blogsites recommended by you here. Thanks Thanks and Thanks again.

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Ramaswamy,

Thanks for your comments, I am glad my ebook has helped you clear up a few things ;-)

I would personally host your own wordpress site on your own domain, as you have much more flexibility this way. The free ones have their place, but for business purposes you want to be completely in control as to what you install, and the content you add etc.

The free ones tend to be very restrictive on the plugins and changes you can make.

I hope this helps, give me a shout if I can help you at all :-)

      Take care,

      Paul

  39. Hey Paul

Thanks for the book. I just downloaded it moments ago.
I like what I see so far. I hope to apply some if not all
of the information in your book.
Much success to you now and in your other future endeavors.

    Hi Paul,

Congratulations on your first ebook. I especially liked the closing quotation from Alex Jeffrys:”Just get it going!”
    How true!

And I did! Finished my ebook this week entitled “how to find a job using social media.”

      Hey Melissa

Many thanks for your comments, and congratulations on your ebook also! What a great achievement :-)

There’s no stopping you now ;-)

      Take care,

      Paul

  41. Great little e-book Paul, i will follow with interest on your blog and hopefully pick up some tips.

  42. Alan Meier says:

    Paul,

I have been reading things on Alex Jeffries and I just read your seven simple steps about online marketing. It seems to be pretty informative. I am new to all this and haven’t even started a website yet. I have read a lot of crap on the Internet about online marketing, and most of it is just that. However, you seem to have gone through the ringer and learn the right ways of how to go about this. Paul, I could use any and all help that I could possibly get. I don’t know if you mentor people are not. But your help would be greatly appreciated even after reading here seven simple steps process.

Maybe this is too much information, but I am a quadriplegic and I live on a fixed income and need to supplement it in a great way. I have all the tools to operate a computer. I have voice activated software and other gadgets to surf the web. I can do it rather easily, probably just as fast as anyone can. Well, that’s it for now.

    Alan Meier

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Alan,

Thanks for your comments, and I am glad you like my ebook :-)

I am currently not mentoring people as I am busy building my business, but that is not to say that this is not something I will offer in the future. It’s too early to say I guess!

I am going to shoot you over an email in the next few minutes, and hopefully I can help you.

      Talk soon,

      Paul

  43. Lesley says:

Thank you for the ebook Paul! I really enjoyed the read and look forward to hearing more from you in the future.

I must say that I can relate. I feel “stuck”, but determined to cut through the clutter and acheive my goals.

    Here’s to a successful 2010!

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Lesley,

Sorry for the late reply, I just found your comment in my spam folder for some reason …

Hopefully my book gave you a few pointers into achieving your goals in 2010 :-)

Have a great Christmas & New Year!

      Paul

  44. Wayne Weeks says:

    Hey Paul,
I enjoyed your eBook and will retain it for periodic referral. If the first part you were describing me. I tried everything. I have now settled down a bit, have a couple of blogs and am focusing there. I have a couple more blogs in mind, but may wait a bit. Anyway, great information and thanks for not thinking it needed to be 100+ pages.
    Have a Merry CHRISTmas,
    Wayne

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Thanks Wayne,

I wanted to make this book reasonably short and to the point, and by the sound of it this format worked for you :-)

I personally find, if they are too long, people just skim to the parts they think are the most important and miss out the rest.

I am glad to see you are moving your business forward ;-)

      Have a great 2010!

      Paul

  45. Jan says:

    Hey Paul,
I have to say I was surprised to get a follow up mail asking for feedback. It’s just so unusual in the mountain of IM bumf in my mail box daily to get something so human and unhyped.

Your ebook took me a couple of attempts to download on my crap connection I have currently (don’t ask, phone cut off and connecting via mobile access lol). Just starting this marketing thing using affiliate products and 0 budget. I finally got enough to buy a few domains and hosting, and I will be totally honest your book has give me another spurt of motivation to keep at it :) Thank you! Hope to have my site up on Monday now.

Your ebook was refreshing, well written and focused. The mindmap link was great, will save my desk from being buried in notes again lol

To Paul “the internet marketer with the human touch” Wilson, have a fantastic Christmas and a healthy and wealthy 2010 :)

    Cheers!

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Jan,

Thank you for your kind comments! I’m glad it made a difference for you, and has given you what you need to keep going in this business :-)

Feel free to give me a shout if I can help you at all, I would love to see your site!

      Have a great Christmas too!

      Take care,

      Paul

  46. Duane Grindstaff says:

Best e-book on the subject that I’ve seen. It looks like you’ve been through, what I myself have been going through.

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Duane,

I think everyone goes through these initial stages, BUT once you start putting things into action and pushing forward, things start to change pretty quickly!

      Have a great Christmas!

      Paul

  47. I have to say it is a very good book, I read it myself and have shared it with many.

  55. Roger says:

    Just read the 7 steps.
Great stuff and love it as to the point.
I see myself as the guy who reads and reads but never gets done.
So now website is in design and squeeze page comes next. Articles are written and ready to post up to autoresponder with ezine aimed for also.
Hope to launch all at the weekend.
Different kind of Niche I think but big affiliate potential with Amazon for people to buy follow up resources and other websites which they will have to sign up for (and take out a paid sub) if they want to go further.
    Best Wishes

    Roger

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey Roger,

Thanks for your feedback, I am glad it has helped you take some action with your project :-)

Good luck with it all ;-)

  56. Paul just a quick thanks for the ebook. Found it to be very interesting. I now just need to figure out how to implement this to the magic industry. See I am not selling ebooks or im services — instead it will be used for selling magic shows.

I really liked the Mind Map approach and have to ask did you come up with the name oil rig hopping? Saw that and cracked up laughing.

    Thanks again.
    George Patrick

    • Paul Wilson says:

      Hey George,

      Thanks for stopping by :-)

No the oil rig hopping was named by a mentor of mine, Alex Jeffreys!!
