25 things you should (or maybe not) know about me…

Garry Simpson has tasked us to come up with 25 things about ourselves and write on our blogs.

I have been tagged by Peter Davies and Marcus Passey.

It’s actually quite tough.  The first 15 or so are dead easy, but I really had to rack my poor little brain for the rest, so enjoy!

I’m sure I’m gonna regret some of these, but here goes anyway…

1. I am 35 years old, but there’s still a few years youth left in me yet. That’s nowhere near 40…is it?

2. I have been married for 4 years

3. I have 2 children, 11 and 4

4. I love my gadgets (especially my iPhone!)

5. I love beer, cider still makes me feel ill after TOO many bad experiences…oh dear…

6. I am always the last to leave a good party :-)

7. I left school at 16, as I wanted to get out there earning some $$$. So I spent the next few years serving my apprenticeship with an electrical distribution company. I soon realized that I didn’t want to be doing that for the rest of my life, and so did a home study course in computer programming.

8. I spent the next 7 years programming databases, but this was actually VERY boring…

9. I have been self employed for 5 years with my own vending company, but my true passion is Internet Marketing.

10. I have been searching for ways to make extra $$$ for the last ten years on and off, and spent way too much in the process. This time I’m in for the long haul, and I now know the steps I need to do to achieve this :-)

11. The worst drink I ever drank was a whole pint of shots on my stag do. I thought I was actually going to die for about 3 days…LOL (I seriously don’t recommend it…it seemed a good idea at the time!)

12. My body can’t take hangovers like it used to. It now lasts for three days instead of just the one!

13. I love technical stuff, but my design skills would replicate that of a 3 year old. I know when something looks good, I just can’t get it to look like that.

14. I love snowboarding and hope to go again next year (unfortunately that’s not me…lol)

15. I bought my first mac a few months ago, now I’m wondering why I didn’t do it before! They are easy to use, they don’t crash, the video editing etc is dead easy.  If you need a new PC get a mac!

16. Many years ago, I had to shave off my hair after a really bad haircut. The funny thing is, it’s still like it 10 years later! ( I did try to grow it one day, but “apparently” it looked like hair that should be growing elsewhere, so it had to go again!)

17. I HATE my current job

18. Much to my friends disgust, I am not a great lover of football. I usually watch the big games though :-)

19. I love curry…not too hot as you can get yourself into trouble…

20. I have got into a really bad habit of staying up till about 2am every night, now I just can’t get out of bed in the morning.

21. I love the outdoor lifestyle

Werri-beach22. I can’t stand decorating, but there’s always stuff that needs to be done around the house.

23. I love live music.

24. I would love to travel the world some day. Just waiting for when I have both time and money…can’t wait!

25. I will become a successful Internet Marketer, and plan to build it MASSIVE…failure is not an option :-)

Hey Paul,

Good to see you’ve got your list posted now, I actually found mine quite easy to think of, I wrote them out on paper away from the computer first. I was watching the darts final on Sunday while I did it.

Sorry I’m not still supposed to be listing things about me, am I? :D

Anyway Paul, back to my comment on your 25 things. Remember you’re only as old as you feel, that’s how I like to look at it. In my case that would be 18.

I’m a beer drinker too, although I don’t actually drink much these days. I never liked Cider.

I’m the same with my hair, I just don’t like it when it starts to grow now, so out come the clippers & off it comes. :)

A whole pint of shots!! I would have liked to have seen you try that, do you remember anything from that point of the night onwards? I hope your wedding wasn’t the next day??

I also have a bad habit of staying up late, I say this as I sit typing at 3:38am :o

Hi Paul,

I also love my gadgets and USED to be the last to leave the party.

Now I avoid them…drinkers annoy me now. No offense intended but after quitting the drink and seeing how foolish my friends were after a few I just started avoiding drinking do’s. Probably because it’s a reminder that I was just as foolish.

With you on number 25 all the way!!

Yeah the pint of shots wasn’t good, and NOT my idea either! Pretty much blank after that!

I had a couple of weeks to recover before the wedding so all good :-)

You are worse than me for staying up late, I thought I was bad!!

I don’t drink like I used to, BUT do enjoy a good knees up once in a while :-)

Although it does look like I have mentioned beer in my post several times…lol!

I think we are going to get along just fine my friend……

You like a drink, I do, but occasionally now, and I’m into Pear Cider ?!

Curry….can’t eat enough of it, not sure if it is doing me any good or not :)

Cool list my friend,

Aha another one who is always last to leave the party, but im usually unconscious.

I would love to do a bit of snowboarding when we make it in this, we will be able to do anything we want.

mmm dont like footy I saw you as maybe a Millwall fan or something.LOL.

Can’t do hangovers… hmmmm me too, join the club.

Also, my boys are 10 and 14… Oldest one is bucking for his driver’s license.

Amazing how fast they grow up.

Wow, great list. It shows 1-15 where easy, #25 is a given (of course) and the 10 in between take some brain rattling.
I can relate to a lot of these, especially #20 :)

Hi Paul,

I’m not quite the drinker, but when I do. I drink too much and my body can’t do hangovers to well either.

Hopefully soon, you can quit the job and get busy living the internet lifestyle so you can start to travel more.

Traveling is a goal of mine, too :)

Thats a VERY good summary mate – I used to drink port in pint glasses in my early 20s on a regulat basis – i tried it again a few years ago and fell over, so those days are gone i guess

I HATE my job – can certainly relate to that LOL.

Hi Paul,

I enjoyed reading your 25.

I kept seeing your comments lately on other blogs so I decided to visit yours.

Reading this 25 point post is a great way to find out more about you.

Sticking with beer seems to work for me too and I don’t drink that that many anymore either.

I prefer Mac as well but mine is getting obsolete and getting a new one is on my list.

I like live music because it is so much better than music from any device since it’s being created at the moment.

From what I can see I think that your goal in point 25 will become reality.

I am definitely working towards number 25 in a BIG way, there is no other route for me now!
